Home insurance is very good in protecting your residence, however if the house you live in does not belong to you or you rent it, then you need to have rental insurance. Home insurance for rented properties will only protect the building, but not the content of the house, which are yours. Rental insurance will cover your belongings which home insurance does not cover.
