Home insurance is important to protect your property. House is where you go home to. It is where your family lives. It is a much more valuable asset than you ever imagine. You cannot let your family lose their shelter one day and not be able to have it back. Home insurance protects you not only from accidents like fire of robberies, but also from natural disasters (which keep happening lately) like flood or earthquake.
Rental insurance
Home insurance is very good in protecting your residence, however if the house you live in does not belong to you or you rent it, then you need to have rental insurance. Home insurance for rented properties will only protect the building, but not the content of the house, which are yours. Rental insurance will cover your belongings which home insurance does not cover.
